Today we have a fantastic day to get to know Mexico. We include a panoramic visit of the city, we will visit the Plaza de las tres culturas, the historic centre where the Zocalo and its Metropolitan Cathedral, the main Aztec temple, the Chapultepec Park, the Paseo de la Reforma and the main avenues of this impressive city stand out.
At the end of the visit we will go to the BASILICA DE GUADALUPE, where the Virgin of Guadalupe is located. It is the most visited catholic temple in America, and we will be able to see the old basilica from the 18th century and the modern temple.
In the afternoon we will go to the XOCHIMILCO neighbourhood, a wonderful place with its canals and semi-floating gardens, including a ride on a ‘trajinera’, a boat full of flowers. In the evening we will take a transfer to the Plaza de GARIBALDI, with its numerous cantinas, restaurants and bars where tacos and tequila are served and Mariachis sing. Dinner included in a typical restaurant.
We leave Mexico City for the state of Puebla. En route we include the entrance to the EX HACIENDA CHAUTLA, founded in the 18th century, famous for its English style castle situated in the middle of an artificial lake among forests. We continue our route to the very picturesque CHOLULA, with its pretty square and the picturesque sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios from where we can admire a magnificent panorama. Arrival in PUEBLA, a historic city known for its gastronomic tradition, its colonial architecture and its ceramics. Its great renaissance cathedral and its active zócalo (main square) stand out. Departure to VAL'QUIRICO, its architecture inspired by the European countryside, especially the Italian Tuscany and its medieval style will take you back to that beautiful period. MEXICO DF, arrival around 8.30 pm.
After breakfast, end of our services. Departure transfer to the airport is not included; our guide will advise you on the best public transport.
