Many use the Art Nouveau town as a starting point to explore the famous Geirangerfjord, the bird sanctuary island of Runde or the spectacular snow-capped peaks of Hjørundfjord and Sunnmørsalpene. Breakfast. Departure from your hotel by regular bus along the "Eagle Road" to Eidsdal. The steepest section of Highway 63 between Geiranger and Eidsdal is called Ørnevegen, or "The Eagle Road", as traveling along its eleven hairpin bends, 620 meters above sea level, feels a bit like being in the air. At the highest bend is the road's most spectacular viewpoint, Ørnesvingen, which offers breathtaking views over the fjord. Once in Eidsdal, we will take a ferry to Linge, a Norwegian town in the middle of the famous route between Geiranger and Trollstigen. Once there, we will take a bus that will take us to Ålesund.
