Continue to Leipzig, the fascinating metropolis where the end of the German Democratic Republic began. Arrival in Dresden, the capital of Saxony and a beautiful baroque city known as the Venice of the Elbe. The city and its monuments have been carefully restored and nowadays the ‘Semper’ opera house, the ‘Zwinger’ art gallery or the ‘Frauenkirche’ (Church of Our Lady) shine in all their splendour. Don't miss a boat trip on the Elbe to Schloss Pilnitz.
Breakfast, visit the city of Dresden, its magnificent museums (Green Vault, Gallery of Classical Masters, Albertinum, etc.). We recommend an excursion to the neighbouring city of Meissen to visit the historic centre and the world famous traditional porcelain factory. Return to Dresden.
